What the work is about
Most pieces sit somewhere across these four. Some sit in all of them.
-
Whimsy
Creatures, gardens and small strange things that make you smile before you wonder what they are up to.
-
Witchcraft
Moons, herbs, cauldrons and the kitchen-table magic of women who knew their plants.
-
Myth
Goddesses, sea monsters and folk tales, retold with the women put back in.
-
Feminism
Women's history and women's anger, painted with humour, colour and a bit of teeth.

Every witch in a fairy tale was once somebody's daughter. I paint the ones who get to tell their side.
